Our Projects

EcoHer project

Ninety eight percent of women city cleaners face numerous challenges that impact their well-being, safety, and livelihood. Women make up the highest number providing cleaning services yet they are vulnerable. In the city or even businesses, cleaning services and other environmental friendly activities form the largest part largely why we have a cleaner and greener city, aligned to Green Growth and Climate Resilience Strategy (GGCRS) first adopted in 2011 and revised in 2022, the GGCRS guides Rwanda's efforts toward a climate-resilient and low-carbon economy by 2050 focusing on green urbanization among other goals of land use, renewable energy adoption, and water resource management. Support women holistically with empowerment packages to which NCF believes that environmental sustainability and women’s empowerment go hand in hand

Preserve Indigenous Trees Project

NCF has secured 2000 indigenous trees. These trees, all indigenous species, offer invaluable ecological benefits. They enhance soil fertility, prevent erosion, sequester carbon, and support biodiversity by attracting pollinators and wildlife. Additionally, they contribute to efficient water management, helping mitigate the risks of flooding while demonstrating high adaptability to local climatic conditions. Their resilience against extreme weather events makes them an essential asset in combating climate change and ensuring a sustainable environmental future for Rwanda. These trees are in the process of identifying crucial sites for planting. This activity will go on to be implemented country wide. Currently the project is supported in collaboration with the City of Kigali (CoK) and Rwanda Wild life Association
